Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of Timely Tax Aid ("the Service"), provided by the team behind Timely Tax Aid ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your practice.

1. The Service

Timely Tax Aid is a practice-management tool that helps accounting practices track SARS, CIPC and Department of Employment and Labour obligations, draft client reminders, collect documents and store credentials securely. It does not file returns on your behalf and does not replace professional judgement.

2. Accounts and practices

  • The person who creates a practice is its owner and is responsible for who is invited and the roles they hold.
  • You must keep sign-in details, authenticator devices and the vault passphrase confidential. We cannot recover a lost vault passphrase.
  • You must provide accurate information and only upload client data you are lawfully entitled to process.

3. Professional responsibility

Your practice remains solely responsible for all filings, submissions, deadlines and advice given to clients. Every client message requires approval by your staff before it is sent; you are responsible for its content.

4. Fees and payment

  • New practices receive a 14-day free trial. Thereafter fees are charged monthly per staff seat and per active client at the rates shown on our website or in your billing page.
  • Invoices are payable by PayFast or EFT. Unpaid accounts may be restricted after notice.
  • We may adjust prices annually with at least 30 days' notice. Fees are exclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, attempt to access other practices' data, reverse engineer it, send unsolicited messages, or upload unlawful or malicious content.

6. Your data

You own your practice and client data. We process it as an operator on your behalf under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), as described in our Privacy Policy. On cancellation you may export your data; we delete it within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Statutory dates and rules are maintained in good faith and may lag behind gazette changes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, SARS or CIPC penalties, interest, or missed deadlines. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by your practice in the three months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time; fees for the current month are not refunded. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

10. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them and will notify practice owners of material changes. Questions: dennis@hiswaybooks.co.za.
